About the Project
Serving as Lead Interior Design Consultant, FF&E Designer, and Furniture Supplier, Köda renovated the British International School of Riyadh Al Waha campus. Built on a 50,000 sqm plot, the design balances BISR’s diplomatic legacy with Vision 2030 goals. The project creates a minimal, timeless aesthetic, allowing custom furniture and student creations to bring warmth, energy, and functional identity to the campus.

Design Approach
Köda established a clean, neutral interior shell designed to stay timeless across generations. Contrast and zoning are driven through custom ergonomic furniture, introducing vibrant color accents against monotone grey foundations. Wide corridors were expanded into collaborative learning hubs, incorporating student lounges, built-in book storage, and quiet study pods to encourage informal group work outside traditional classrooms. Academic facilities include 12 advanced science labs, Maker Spaces, art studios, and a black box theater. A dedicated Athletics Building was constructed to withstand Riyadh's harsh climate, housing an Olympic pool and a fully shaded, climate-controlled indoor Sports Dome.
The project integrates indoor and outdoor learning, encouraging interaction.
