Design Approach
The design of a school shapes how learners feel. When children feel seen, included, and safe, their confidence grows. In response, the space was designed to be flexible, to allow learners and teachers to use spaces in different ways. Reflecting the spirit of the school, it encourages movement and collaboration with spaces optimised for smooth movement through different zones.

Outcome & Impact
The new secondary block at The Aquila School opened in August 2024. It increased the school’s space by over 80 percent, but the impact has gone far beyond size.
